Hiking in the Ahr valleyNot only the „hiker’s society“ considers the Red Wine Hiking Trail one of Germany’s most beautiful footpaths. Little signs of red grapes on a white background signpost the trail, which winds its way through the vineyards over 35 km. It links beautiful lookouts and picturesque winemaking villages or impressive ancient ruins high above them. Hiking lovers named the Ahr valley the „Hiking paradise“ – especially because of its theme-hiking-trails like the wine discovery trail (Weinbaulehrpfad) or the iron trail (Eisenweg).
