GUEST CONTRIBUTION - Small contribution with high benefit!

Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler maintains an outstanding tourist infrastructure for its guests. Well-kept parks and gardens, promenades along the clean banks of the Ahr, the illuminated town wall in Ahrweiler and a wonderful network of cycle and hiking paths, the AhrSteig, the red wine hiking trail and the tourist information offices are just a few examples. As a guest you can use all these offers free of charge.

The guest fee, which is charged by the town of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, helps to finance part of the tourist offers. The contribution is invoiced by the host and is usually not included in the overnight price. At present, contributors pay € 3.00 per person and night. Children up to and including 5 years of age are exempt from the obligation to pay contributions. From 6 years up to and including 17 years of age the obligation to pay contributions is currently € 1.20 per child and night.

Guest contributors receive the Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler guest card from their host. This primarily allows free use of all local public transport buses in the entire Ahrweiler district as well as free use of the Ahrbrück-Ahr valley railway from Ahrbrück to Remagen and, on the Rhine, the railway from Brohl to Rolandseck. The guest card is even valid as a ticket in the entire area of the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Mosel (VRM).

Furthermore, holders of the guest card receive a discount at various facilities and events. These are, for example, the Ahr Thermal Baths, the leisure pool TWIN and the forest climbing park, the casino Bad Neuenahr, the Roemervilla and the documentation site government bunker, the cultural programme in the spa gardens Bad Neuenahr, guided tours and terrain hikes in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, Segway tours as well as wine tastings with cellar tours at the Dagernova wine manufactory and at the Ahrweiler wine association.
